No his wife is on the left.side of the shot. They live in my neighborhood in Cypress and a group of them flew out this morning. They have front row seats in left field.

I think AJ talks quite a bit to the players. Often times I've noticed him talking with Verlander or Keuchel on their off nights while standing there looking at his spreadsheets. Seems like he talks with the guys in the hole as they wait on the steps before getting on deck. I also remember at one point this season McCann was sitting there in AJ's spot with the data all in front of him like he was the one driving the bus.

In my opinion I think AJ interacts with his players more than the average manager. It may not be super in depth conversations about particular strategy that may cause confusion and I imagine it's more overall thought process and game knowledge, but I do think AJ is very good at communicating with his players and sharing knowledge.

No doubt that his relationship with his players / knowing his guys is his #1 strong suit. It's a big part of their success IMO. He knows his players better than a lot of managers.

I'm excited and I'm not even a baseball fan.

I hope some of you that have been Astros fans for a long time get what you are hoping for tonight.
The conversations will be uncomfortable, but we all have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable for progress to be made.

I think the question may be more Maybin vs. Gonzalez since Marwin has been so bad from the right side of the plate lately.

While each has had some key hits, overall 6,7,8 and 9 going Reddick, Gonzalez from the right side, McCann and the pitchers spot...man...makes you feel like a rough patch there trying to keep innings going.

Not a bad idea, but I like having Maybin as an option to pinch run as opposed to Marwin.

Plus with a double switch in play you're able to move Marwin around wherever you need to make room for someone.

I think I would start Maybin. It's cooler out so there will be some added importance to fielding tonight. Marwin has been no good from the right side. We can bring him in as a big pinch hit later in the game.
