Darvish has this really annoying tendency to every so often lazily groove a pitch and get blasted. The way the bats are going against wheeler that 3 runs feels like enough.

That HR was on Chirinos, 100%. You could tell from the 2nd pitch that Darvish had no confidence to hit that spot up and in, but Chirinos called for it anyway. Sure enough, he left it over the middle. Complete garbage game calling. All he had to do was stay hard and low.

I think they must have gotten a new producer or director or whatever the person is called who is charge of flipping between camera feeds during the game. This seemingly new person appears to be a fan of the 'behind the plate' camera angle. Sure it allows you to see if the runner from first is going, but its worthless for watching the pitch. Do split screen/PiP or just show the runner going on replay, but quit messing with that gawdawful camera angle for the live action.

Saw a couple different reports that Profar is rejoining the Rangers, not sure who is being sent down. With Beltre out with an injured ankle, they need another position player heading into the weekend series with NL rules (Washington).
Gomez is rehabbing for Round Rock this weekend. Ross getting another start on Friday for Round Rock. Those two should be back with the Rangers soon. Or traded away for prospects if the parent club can't get it in gear soon.

With Dyson gone, do they have to send anyone down to bring Profar up?
I saw and talked to Diekman on a flight from DFW to ORD yesterday - he was heading to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota to have his final surgery.
Hope that dude can fully recover.

I think there was talk of adding an extra bench guy regardless of the Beltre injury, and I figured it would have been Gee going down. With Beltre headed to DL, I'm a little surprised that we aren't adding two guys. Also surprised that the addition they're making is Profar.

Well, Profar has been playing SS, AFAIK. Hitting .267, 2 HR in AAA isn't impressive, so I would tend to agree that there might be other options. However, IIRC, Alberto is headed to AAA, so they have a place for him at SS.Squirrel Master said:

If there will be selling, now is as good a time as any to promote Profar. Leave him there too long and he may start to wither.

Yeah, from what I understand, this a three surgery process that removes a section of his intestine, modifies into a makeshift colon, and removes the colon. I just said "hey are you diekman" and he said yep then I just kinda said hurry back. When I came out of the bathroom he made it a point to turn around and start talking to me. Told me where they were going and he wishes he could be helping right now. Then as we exited the plane we exchanged pleasantries again and of course I told him I wished the best for him.

I think he's healthy, just sucking at AAA. 13 appearances, 15 IP, and been getting lit up. 6.6 era.
Jeez. He was supposed to be the closer of the future when he first came up. Gotta think trying to make him a starter killed his development.
