quote:Maybe if Odor slid hard into 2nd, but I'm not sure why he'd slide into 2nd while trotting around the bases after a HR.
I was being really sarcastic. I just thought of something controversial to type for this thread and posted it. see emoticon.

quote:Pretty sure I never accused any of you of "blowing Bautista".quote:
I give you Astros fans crap because you act like bleeding vags when someone talks bad about "your Stros"
This coming from Rangers fans is quite humorous. The same group that accused us of "blowing Bautista" multiple times simply because we didn't get in line with Rangers opinions and post selfies in our "The Punch" tshirt. You're right, this board is full of bleeding vags. They wear a lighter shade of blue.

Odor will be lucky to get out of this series without Altuve whipping his ass

Stats are complex and can be confusing. It is a normal defense mode for someone to make fun of something they don't understand. Of course, the main stat that matters is Wins. Stros will be on top of that category by the end of the season.
quote:That very well could happen. The issue I have is what makes you think that this Astros team is anything more than a .500 ballclub? From May 1st of last season until today, they're right at .500. Now they may go out and make some trade deadline deals that transform that team, but as of right now, the past 13 months has shown them to be a solid .500 team. Is it a matter of thinking the Rangers will fall back?
Of course, the main stat that matters is Wins. Stros will be on top of that category by the end of the season.

Of course, Fielder could still turn it around. Wouldn't surprise me to see him use the Stros to get hot again.

If Bannister doesn't start Fielder against the Astros then we've found at least one manager dumber than AJ Hinch.

quote:Surely, they have a WS or two because of their sharp front office and great organizational depth.
At a certain point you gotta stop looking for reasons why the Rangers are "lucky" and look to the fact that they have a sharp front office and great organizational depth, so they can recover from setbacks better than most teams.
quote:
I should also add that the Stros should be better because Hinch finally decided to open up the closers role.
Correa, whom many projected as a MVP candidate, is starting to come around with the bat.
Fister is the only starter we have exceeding expectations. The others, outside of Fiers, have shown improvement over the last couple of weeks.
Curious to see how they do once Bregman comes up.

quote:The stats y'all are throwing out really aren't that complex or confusing. No one is making fun of them because they don't understand. The problem with these stats that show "luck" for lack of a better word is that by their very nature they can't explain if something is truly just dumb luck or some sort of other phenomenon that the statistical model isn't built to catch. As a person whose career is focused heavily on numbers and analysis, I see stats like that as a sort of cop out at worst, or an admission of the margin of error of your model at best.

Help this FPTR dumbass fan to understand. Does having your team getting swept by whoever/whenever somehow embolden you to start talking shlt about it?

That was my weak attempt at smack implying Rangers fans aren't the smartest bunch.

Is this a trash talking thread.......or a junior high cafeteria?
