Yep it was always Flagg 1 and Harper 2. Harper by far is the 2nd best player in this draft

Happy for Dallas fans. They needed that after the Luka debacle.

We (Mavs) got #1 BECAUSE of the "debacle." The franchise took one for the NBA, and they're trying to make up for it. First time moving up EVER, with 1% chance, allegedly. Yeah, sure.

I know it's hindsight, but damn. traded for fox too soon. I hope we don't NOT take Harper because of that.

This makes the Giannis trade more plausible imo.

Mavs have AD, PJ Washington, Caleb Martin, and Naji Marshall, but Kyrie is hurt and they just have Exum at PG.

Nico is going to do the only logical thing and draft the best PG available in Dylan Harper.

I could see Fox and Castle starting and Fox comes out first, Castle slides to point with Harper at the 2 and when Fox comes back in, Castle sits.

Nah, I think it is perfect. Harper is 6th man like Manu for 2-3 years then we trade Fox while he still has value when Harper is ready for the role.



Harper/Castle as the back court of the future and Castle can start at 3 as well since he has essentially the same body and game as Jimmy Butler.

Harper has plenty of feel to play off the ball at the 2. It also means if CP3 doesn't re-sign, you don't have to go find a vet backup at PG.

Honestly, you could play Fox, Castle, and Harper together and let whoever gets it push the ball and initiate the offense.

Exactly right. Harper is a good enough shooter and big enough to play SG.

Paul may refuse to resign, because we have to give Harper minutes at PG in addition to Castle.

I've been saying that rim pressure is the new big thing for analytics, and Harper is THE BEST player we could possibly get to get that.

We just need to add shooting.
