I know no lead is safe in the nba as no one plays defense anymore but you were up by 26 at the end of the first.
Wemby stuffed the stat sheet but he wasted a lot of offensive possessions. Collins is unplayable. Our bench mob outside of Castle still doesn't have a clue on defense.

This shows the margin for error in the NBA. Sochan goes out and the perimeter defense gets worse. That being said, the clips shot 52% from 3. Those weren't all wide open. That was pretty ridiculous.
Branham has at least temporarily passed Wesley on the depth chart, presumably because he can make an occasional 3. Wesley is a gamer, but it's tough to play a guard who can't shoot.

Yeah idfk either. If PATFO has a super secret trade package for Giannis now's the time, I guess. Our thin bench got a whole lot thinner.
I think a trade for Giannis is the wrong move. Going to give us two stars (that are a decade apart in age) and literally no one else. Package would probably have to be a ton of picks (all the ATL ones) and Vassell/Castle/Sochan. To me, that's a 40-47 win team that loses in the first round to a more complete team. We were never going to contend this year. Next year, I think we have 40-45 wins, then 50+ the year after that for the forseeable future.

I almost think it makes more sense to bring Vassell off the bench to ease back into the lineup and give them a boost that they need on offense. Our starters have some pretty good chemistry, albeit now not as much that Sochan is out.
Mitch Johnson was basically making sure one of Castle and Sochan were on the floor at all times. This tells me that Castle will more than likely start.
You're right, I'm just being impatient and panicky. I'm not expecting much from us this year at all. Getting pieces next to Victor are more important for long term success.
Really bumbed about Sochan. He was playing great and his energy and aggressiveness was setting the tone for this team. He's out at least a month.

Yeah, you hate to see it.
But, on the bright side, Devin should be coming back soon and the Spurs schedule is more favorable over the next few weeks. 4 of the next 6 games are against the Bllazers, Jazz, Wizards and Lakers at home.
We will see how the team steps up. The veteran leadership will be huge right now.

No Sochan equals no energy. Houston will puck the chit out of them if they don't get it together.
