Steve Nash was just signed to be the head coach for 4 years. Interesting move on their part

I wonder if this goes more Jason Kidd or Steve Kerr

Hell, give me the rosters he's been handed and I can "coach" like Steve Kerr. Yawn.

This reminds me of this nugget that George Karl posted after Mark Jackson criticized Karl during one of the playoff games

Been exhausting to hear all the hot takes on this clearly "racist" hire. Can't wait until it comes out that kyrie and kd pushed for this hire and then all these hot take commentators will surely come out and admit they were foolish to jump the gun, right?!

Yeah apparently this is "white privilege" because he has no former coaching experience. Tyronn Lue is holding on line 1 though

Also Doc Rivers.

I know people want to look do the lazy narrative, but PGs like Nash, Doc, and Jason Kidd were on floor coaches for most their careers.

Although I do feel that Kenny Atkinson and Jacque Vaughn were in a no win situation there and did relatively well.

Tyronn Lue was an assistant before he got hired as a head coach, he was actually promoted from assistant to the role that David Blatt held.

Black guys hired with no previous experience (9):
Derek Fisher - Knicks - 2014 (29%)
Jason Kidd - Nets - 2013 (54%)
Mark Jackson - Warriors - 2011 (53%)
Isiah Thomas - Pacers - 2000 (53%)
Doc Rivers - Magic - 1999 (50%)
M.L. Carr - Celtics - 1995 (29%)
Magic Johnson - Lakers - 1994 (31%)
Quinn Buckner - Mavericks - 1993 (16%)
Paul Silas - Clippers - 1980 (32%)

White guys hired with no experience (7)
Steve Nash - Nets - 2020 (???)
Steve Kerr - Warriors - 2014 (71%)
Vinny Del Negro - Bulls - 2008 (50%)
Kevin Michael - Timberwolves - 2005 (61%)
Larry Bird - Pacers - 1997 (69%)
Dan Issel - Nuggets - 1992 (48%)
Dick Van Arsdale - Suns - 1987 (54%)

So anyone that says a black man couldn't get hired with no experience is full of ****, because that's happened more than it's happened for white guys.

Chuck is one of the most honest people in the media:

Nash was also a player development coach for the Warriors (and Kevin Durant) and I imagine took on some coaching responsibilities his last year with the Lakers. So he's not completely devoid of coaching experience.

I've always been a fan of Sir Charles. Even when he pisses me off

So the Nets are off to a quick start on opening night. Up 19 on Golden State in the 1st quarter.

LeVert is going to flourish as a 6th man. If they stay healthy, I think they are the team to beat in the East. KD is just that good.
