Damnit every time we get it down to 2-3 we screw it up
That last play perfectly summarizes the Rockets. Harden drives and has Howard wide-open for a dunk. Instead of passing for the easy basket, he puts up a crappy runner. Dwight sees this and gives up on the play and heads back down to the other basket. The ball bounces exactly where Howard had been standing. Golden State gets the rebound.
Time for bed
Been said multiples times but making the playoffs was the worst possible scenario for the rockets.

Hence why I used the word "were." He was unanimously considered the best center in the NBA when he left Orlando. Injuries and complacence have clearly changed that. The point is that he still flashes the talent, but never consistently.
Andrew Bogut is better than Dwight. Sad.

Does anyone on the rockets roster or admin actually call out harden for his lack of defensive effort? It's shocking to watch. He acts like he doesn't even care.

I truly think McHale enjoyed coaching Dwight, and it was Harden who got McHale fired. When McHale was a guest analyst earlier in the year on TNT for one of our games, he flat out said that Dwight was not the reason for the team's struggles, which gave a strong impression that James is the cancerous presence. I just think Dwight is tired of only getting 6 shots a game while harden does his dribble Iso BS and then jacks up fade away 3's
I can't imagine that Hardens antics only piss off Howard. It was irritating to me and I'm not even a Rockets fan. Harden is a disgrace to the game. There's a reason Kenny, Shaq, and Charles flat out piled on him last night. He's like Kobe without any swag on O and like a ghost on D. A cancer.
What do you think the best thing Houston could trade Harden for would be?

For Harden to ultimately work out here, I think you have to bring in a total no-nonsense coach with a big enough personality to set him straight when needed and not tolerate his total disregard for playing defense hard, or even at all. Any correction doesn't necessarily have to be done publicly (better if it done privately), but Harden's current m.o. cannot continue for this team to be successful. Furthermore, said coach needs to have support from management.
Right now, he can do what he wants without any negative consequences (from a playing time standpoint, at least).
I've said it before, but this team as constructed is the Land of Misfit Toys, and it needs a strong hand at coach. Bickerstaff ain't it.

Harden, Howard, Brewer, and all of the power forwards have a ton of quit in their game.
Also very true, Rice. Need some more guys that are truly competitive and really hate losing...more "dawg" and less dog, if that makes sense.

The documentary was great though. I didn't know Harden had it so bad growing up in a single mom household in Compton. Dad in and out of jail with felonies and never in the picture. Pretty compelling stuff.
