Jaida Thomas of UT was the tournament MVP. She scored 2 goals against us. Arkansas has lost in these last 6 finals to 6 different teams.

Remember that Arkansas lost at LSU the last game of the regular season. I imagine those 2 losses in their last 4 games cost Arkansas a 1-seed although I don't know which 1-seed they would have replaced. Arkansas has been the top seed in the SEC Tournament these last 3 seasons.

Georgia hired Keidane McApline as their head coach from Southern Cal. He knocked us out of the NCAA Tournament in 2016 and 2019 and won the National Championship in 2016. He must have gotten tired of playing on that piece of grass they called a soccer stadium in LA. To me it was like no one in the Southern Cal athletic department noticed that they had won 2 national championships and thought about upgrading their facility.

A really good hire for Georgia, although he might find it a bit harder to recruit elite players to Georgia as he did at USC in the backyard of extreme talent everywhere.
