Pepperdine won most of the 50/50 balls. They were quicker, more determined, and seemed much more highly motivated to get the win.

SEC scheduling didn't do us any favors this weekend. Pepperdine will be in College Station and well rested and we will be getting home at 2 am on Saturday.

We shall overcome it though.

I attended the Vandy Florida game. Vanderbilt dominated possession. Florida's goalie is very good - kept them in the game. Florida's aggression is dangerous- and not good dangerous; injury dangerous. Vanderbilt had many opportunities to put the game away, but Florida's goalie made some incredible saves. Also many missed opportunities. It was fun to watch SEC soccer again.

Baylor's home game against San Francisco yesterday was stopped in the 71st minute and ended in a 1-1 tie due to heat.
Chris Henderson of All White Kit tweets out the top 35 RPI evert day and noted that Oregon State at #8 is the only PAC-12 team in it. No Stanford, no USC, no ULCA, no WSU.

How times have changed. It was 103 degrees during the Aggies' season opener in 1995, a 1 pm start time on a Sunday. The match went 120 minutes with no water breaks. A&M scored 3 goals in extra time as the Marquette girls melted.

As for Baylor's match on Sunday… it's interesting to note that, according to NCAA rules, a match can be considered complete if at least 70 minutes have been played.
