Texas A&M Soccer continues their homestand today as Brown University comes to Ellis Field. The Aggies are set to face the Brown Bears at 6pm.

Brown is 3-0 on the season with wins over Hofstra (2-1), UMass-Lowell (4-0), and UConn (2-0). Though the opponents haven't been great, it is a nice start to the season the year after they finished 8-8-1.

Texas A&M is the best team the Bears will face all year. In fact, I tried to research the last time they faced a ranked team. But operating solely from my iPhone, I gave up several years back. This is a hugely notable game for Brown and they surprisingly made the trip to Texas solely for this matchup.

This is the first meeting between the two teams. But I expect the series will be 1-0 in A&M's favor at the end of the day.

Yeah, we look pretty bad so far. Watt has done nothing so far (and not because she's being double teamed or anything). We're getting out-hustled to every loose ball again and of course can't accurately pass.

Rheagen Smith is not convincing as a starting forward. Sadly, Watt doesn't look much better. The two of them have absolutely no chemistry.

I'm also starting to think that Katie Smith might be a better option than Kolb. Lopez creates dangerous chances on the left but Kolb produces very little on the right.

R. Smith stepping over the ball as she tracked it down toward the end line just for it to go out without her touching it is pretty bad. Need to do better than that. Mccain once again in the box on a cross and it goes right by her without her touching it. So much to work on.

K. Smith and Russell in, lets see what they can do.

Russell is at least energetic

Anyone else impressed with the improvement over the years of Walton? She hasn't been truly tested, but she has been a workhorse.

Watt as well.

Only watched the last 15 minutes and saw 2 players unable to stop balls passed right to them that rolled out of bounds on a field that G says the ball bounces true on.

Team not showing much energy coming back to the field after halftime, not sure much is going to change this half.

I'd say Katie Smith and Tera Ziemer certainly earned the right to start this half.

Addie is an enigma. She's got sufficient talent to be a Hermann Trophy finalist. But she doesn't have the determination, it seems, to bring her best every game.

Still 0-0 at the 72:51 mark. Aggies have outshot Brown 13-1 and on goal 5-0.
