Until we get some midfield help, it's hard to really know if Ole is improving the team or not. And since we likely won't get any midfield help in the winter, I highly doubt this team will be anything approaching competitive for at least another year.

Due to personal reasons I have missed a big chunk of both Manchester United games. I am at a loss for words with how this season is going. I realize we have a below average midfield but seems like even without a coach on the sidelines and playing "backyard" style soccer we could/should have a couple more wins than we do...

To be fair, even with how bad we're playing, we're still very capable of finishing top four. I hope the rumours are true that we plan to spend in January, so we can add some midfielders. Add a few good players to the squad along with Pogba coming back soon and we could string together a few wins to close the gap to Chelsea in 4th

my concern/problem is that I have no faith that OGS or Ed can identify the talent and then get the deal done to bolster the midfield.

United continue to win just enough so that Ole will likely be given some more transfer windows but I still don't see this team finishing top 4 and I wonder how long the powers that be will allow that.

At least for a day, we managed to get some joy watching the team.

I don't know if it's because I've been able to watch a few more games than I usually do, but United seem to play out of the back from De Gea a lot more than I remember. It's almost like they are daring teams to press them so that they can create fast, pseudo-counter transitions from defense to attack.
