What kind of drills did you do to keep their attention and help them learn the basic skills of soccer?

Our league uses practice plans from www.SoccerROM.com

Makes it easy on the coaches because every team does the same drills and the technical director can control the practice plans. I didn't love all the exercises but it did have a nice mix of (fun) coordination and skill drills that my kids enjoyed for the most part

Make your entire goal to have the parents and kids sign up next year

Just keep them moving as much as possible and as others have said make everything about having fun. Stay away from anything that involved lines with only a few players moving at a time.

One of my favorite drills was having 2 pair of 4 different color cones

Orange -- Green --- Yellow -- WHite
GOAL_______________BALL_______________GOAL

White ----- Yellow -----Green------Orange

Dropping the ball at midfield and yelling out one color or multiple colors at a time and have them try to score....I stood in the middle and try to keep things going as quick as possible

Does anyone truly "coach" 4 and 5 year olds?
