wow I wasn't even paying attention to midweek games really. but yeah

of the other top 6 clubs:
Liverpool tied by Leicester 1-1
ManU needed 2 late goals to tie by Burnley 2-2
ManCity loses to Newcastle 2-1
Chelsea destroyed by AFC Bournemouth 4-0
only Arsenal managed a win 2-1 over Cardiff.

made up ground on MC and Liverpool and distanced from Chelsea and ManU while Arsenal remains 7 back of us and tied with Chelsea now for 4th.

Son definitely got his boot into that shot -- that was a rocket. He also had a VERY nice left-footed, curling shot earlier in the game that just missed outside the left post.

Odd stat I saw before the game - and now we have set the record with that win:

Most EPL consecutive games without a tie - 29

We've either lost or won but not tied in PL games; 19-0-6 this season and 3-0-1 the last 4 of the previous season.So 22-0-7 the last 29 games.

Last draw was 1-1 with BHA in April of 2018.

Hate that I have a complaint after a win, but we have got to start finding ways to finish more chances. Simply too many these past few games. Lucas header, Llorente fumbles...several incredibly unlucky chances but we've got to figure out ways to get it done.

Happy with 3 points of course but lack of production with Harry and Dele out, especially against lesser competition, is still a huge concern. One game at a time.

That's why the transfer window is so frustrating...and I don't really care about this January window ..midseason change and team morale is important...but that summer window....we knew this was a problem and did nothing

It's amazing how much the club has done while spending far less than the teams surrounding us on the table. But I don't think we will win anything until Levy decides to actually drop some significant cash on acquiring players.

Then on a deflected clearance out of Leicesters end Eriksen hits a blast to the corner from outside the box.
