Japan had a semi-difficult choice.
They could try their hardest to level their game and secure their spot if Senegal scored, which would also put them at risk of picking up cards and losing on fair play points.

Referring in this WC has been awful. There are better referees in the adult soccer leagues in the DFW area than these refs.
