So if you noticed the other night (last week IIRC) when the Open Cup was on, MLS had something like four games that night - and they've rarely had them on a weeknight this season.

Someone on Twitter suggested that US Soccer was trying to kill the Open Cup, and Eric Wynalda chimed in to confirm.

I consider this a horrible thing, if true.

With an odd number of teams in MLS this season, there are more mid-week match dates. The MLS schedule was released well before the U.S. Open Cup schedule was finalized, but it is interesting that the only busy mid-week date during the early rounds of the USOC was before the teams from MLS' partner league (USL) entered. This Wednesday, when USL begins play in the USOC, there is only one MLS match, and it's in Canada. There are no MLS matches during the third round.

FC Wichita Needs Your Help

Our hometown soccer club FC Wichita traveled to Dallas this week for a US Open Cup match. During their game, their locker room was robbed. Money, cell phones, passports, and other documents were stolen from them. These things take a lot of time and money to get replaced. The Air Capital Firm supporters group would like to help them out in this tough time. These are amateur and college players. They do not get paid so money is limited for them. We appreciate your consideration and donations!

It probably has something to do with the 20+ years I've spent in Houston. Who knows, though. Could be anything.

Well, you got those back to back NBA Championships with the Rockets in '95 and '96.

Then back to back MLS Championships with the Dynamo in '06 and '07.

Now we've just gotten a World Series Championship with the Astros in 2017.

How are things looking for the Mavericks, FC Dallas, and Rangers?
