If we don't qualify Arena resigns/is let go the next day. There is zero reason for him or the team for him to stick around through meaningless friendlies.

Cut Arena some slack. He's been successful, he knows what he's doing.

Should I still cut him some slack?
Arena's arrogance cost us a spot in the World Cup.
I hated the hire, said so at the time, and the result speaks for itself.

His biggest flaw: needing a point on the road and running a 4-4-2.
Why not run a 4-2-3-1 or 4-1-4-1?
Have a freaking holding/defensive mid sitting on top of that abysmal back line. Bradley plays too high and is always chasing the ball back to support.

The pregame showed it was a 4-3-3
Not only was a point a must but the field was a mess. Any coach worth anything is going to make sure your defense is solid first. A 4-3-3 or a 4-4-2 (diamond) is just plain stupid.ScottishFire said:PatAg said:ScottishFire said:

It wasn't. But that would be even worse, if Arena waltzed an offensive/aggressive 4-3-3 out there.
