I know it's preseason, but it doesn't hurt your case with a new manager to be involved in all three goals for BVB (2 assist and earned the penalty for the 3rd goal).

I forgot about Brooks, Cameron, and Yedlin but FJ is hardly irreplaceable. Villafana is pretty damn good, especially when on the same side as Nagbe.
Except that FJ's best position is in midfield.

I might still use Howard. But the gap between Howard and the other USMNT keepers is much smaller than it was in years past. Howard, Guzan, Horvath, Hamid. All should be capable of filling the role on a given day. And given that Howard is 38 right now, we'd damn better hope he's not irreplaceable.
When I'm thinking about irreplaceable players I'm thinking about the falloff from that player to their replacement. Given the depth at fullback, I can certainly see arguments for a player like Yedlin being irreplaceable (if we aren't willing to run FJ at RB). Bradley qualifies. Other than that I'm not really sure anyone else would. Cameron and Brooks are mainstays but I wouldn't feel like things were in shambles if Omar had to step in. Jozy is a beast but Wood and Dempsey are certainly excellent options at forward. Maybe Pulisic would be considered irreplacable (even despite his age) because what he offers in a #10 role isn't really offered by anyone else on the squad.

The slight touch and immediate shot, to move the defender to the right was superb.

Europa league duty on Thursday and league match on Monday. Most likely squad management. He played the first 60 in Europa and came on at 75 in the league match. Nothing looking untoward, especially since its a player that's had a few knocks recently.
Also with Gotze (25), Reus (28) and Schurrle (27) all healthy at the same time, Pulisic is unlikely to be every day starter. Add to that he's not been in best form as well as logging lots and lots of minutes already this season, it's not unexpected he's coming off the bench.

I would add on that the BvB are looking for a trophy and the Bundesliga is all but won by Bayern and they crapped out of the DFB Pokal (to Bayern, no less), I can see heavy rotation and player management to get a result in the Europa League.
Also, I've always wondered about Gotze on an existential level. What is life like after scoring the winning goal in a World Cup final? Where is "up" from there? He seems like his life should be like the eurotrash art critics from the Simpsons episode where Homer gets famous as an "outsider artist": adrift in a sea of meaningless sex and decadence.
