The Under 20 World Cup starts tonight on FS1 for you night owls. I'm not sure how the US team will do since some of our best young guys are still with their Bundesliga clubs.

That may be but gotta support US players 100%. That was a classic english goalkeeper move he pulled. He needs to work on his left foot obviously. He could've hit that to the outside of his left and booted it.

Also, great show by US soccer over the years to not let family ties cause any drama - the bradleys and now the klinnsmanns.

If he had a decent left foot, his first touch when he received the pass would've been pushing it to the outside and not keeping it right in front of the goal.

Really awesome to see him continue his dominance from the U18 national team from the past year. He was just turning people left and right, making excellent runs off the ball, and clinically finishing in their tourney too.

His long injury spell was certainly the key issue. Then this year the manager was sacked and the new guy didn't favor him.

"New Guy Didn't Favor Him" could be the tagline for almost any article written about an American playing in Europe.

This ref sucks.

US ties 1-1, playing over 45 minutes a man down, and wins group. Complaining about bad refereeing at one of these WC events is a right of passage, but this guy was the worst. The yellows and red he gave out were laughable. Cameron Carter-Vickers committed one foul the whole match, but got 2 yellows and was off.
I hate referees that make themselves bigger than the game, and this guy was one of those.
So USA will play New Zealand next, but will be without Carter-Vickers, Saucedo and Derrick Jones, the latter 2 on YC accumulation. Jones has been phenomenal and will be the big miss, along with Carter-Vickers.

Herrera misses the next match not Saucedo
