They already have it all resodded. G quickly regained control...
I am surprised they are replacing the surface. It seemed good last year even with some rain during the season. I don't remember it looking bad this spring when I saw it.
Seems there is a risk of the new stuff not doing well.

Apparently you're supposed to replace the field every 15 years or so and we're a few years past that. I think the soil gets compacted so the new field should be softer. G also mentioned that this new grass will be more shade resistant so perhaps they won't need the artificial turf by the benches.
Interesting, do they not aerate the field?
I would think they would still use turf by the bench due to the foot traffic.
They need to do something at Kyle by the bench areas, it's looking pretty bad.
