I can't pass the fitness test but that will more than be made up for by my general lack of awareness and bad foul recognition. They won't even notice I can't keep up.

Truth be told, I could (I think) handle the foul recognition at that level. But the fitness test to qualify is strenuous and at almost 53 years old it would take a lot of work just to pass it. They probably expect a Grade 5 (State) level badge. The fitness test for that level is:

40 m times run, 6.0 sec, done 6 times. You complete the run, turn around and walk back to the start and run again. You have 7 tries and can fail once.

10 minute rest period followed by:

75 m interval runs. 75 m, 15 sec followed by 25 m walk/cool down in 18 sec. done continuously for 40 times. basically its 10 times around the track in continuous movement, each lap is 4 segments. You must start the segment and end the segment within the time interval or its a miss. two misses in the 40 segments are a failure. And once you get behind you have to make it up the next segment.

National tests are more stringent. Normally cut the 40 m sprints to 5.7 sec and interval walks to 15 sec. AR's have an additional component which is a form of a shuttle run (change of direction).

So, I've actually made a couple of designs for a badge as well as a team name. I decided on "Brazos Valley Rail Runners FC" with the color scheme following the Dynamo. The only difference being I wanted to make the black the primary with orange and space city blue as the accents. Now, here's my badge design, one with an established year and one without.


At the moment, this is the other "front runner" that was suggested on the Dynamo Reddit.

Interesting. BCS United is the umbrella name for one of the local youth clubs with teams from U8 to U18. Not sure how the PDL team can usurp that if it is the final choice. Or maybe there's an agreement to pay for it.

I decided to have a little bit of extra fun and made this secondary logo/badge.

I think I like the 2nd logo better.

I thought it might work. I guess we'll see what they run with.

Brigade would've fit better with their parent club's name (used by Soviet-bloc State Police clubs).

And the BVB abbreviation would fit with the dominant US soccer club naming theme of ripping off from Euro clubs.

I'm definitely happy with my team name at the moment. Really hoping it ends up pulling through.
