South Alabama isn't as bad as their name would leave you to believe either.

Gators won 3-0.
Outshot fgcu 24-2.

Arkansas beat Memphis 2-1.
Had to tie it in the 88th minute and won it in OT.

First big upset, some school I have never heard of beat ND on pks.

South Carolina played Alabama State. South Alabama plays Auburn.

Petrucelli continued his tradition of underwhelming performances in the NCAA Tournament.

I picked everything right except notre dame. And I had notre dame going a long ways...

At least Petrucelli made the NCAA Tournament. His replacement didn't even make the Big 12 Tournament. SIUE's rpi was 223, UND's was 5.

Colorado beat Oklahoma State to begin the trend of former Big 12 teams beating current Big 12 teams.

Missouri couldn't complete the former Big 12 vs current Big 12 trifecta

4 of the 32 hosts failed to advance: 4 seed Minnesota, TCU, Michigan and 2 seed Notre Dame.

Shame that Texas A&M had to exit, but this has been a very interesting tournament. Good year to be from an SC school as that acronym appears 3 times in the remaining teams (Southern Cal, South Carolina, Santa Clara)

The Carolina rivalry game should be a fun one! Auburn made it to the Elite Eight for the first time in history after knocking off Florida. I still think USC is on course for the College Cup.

I'm thinking West Virginia will beat USC (uh..Southern Cal) for the championship.

For the record, only one team scored multiple goals against Southern Cal this year. And that team was Santa Clara, who won the season opener against the Trojans 3-2.

Had A&M won that PK shootout, I think we had a realistic shot at the College Cup with games against Utah and Auburn. The bracket opened up for us nicely with Florida St and Florida going down but we couldn't take advantage of it. So close.

May have finally caught a break to get in, but cannot get a big win to catch a break with lower seeds winning around us.
Seems every time we do what we need to do to advance we get paired up with good teams that do not get upset and end up with the toughest path possible ahead of us...

There have been 56 games played so far, and 45 of the 112 teams have been shut out. 8 games have gone to a shootout.
Home teams are 39-3-5. Of the 8 non wins, we were involved in 2 of them.
South Carolina won both its games last weekend 1-0 by a PK in each game. I think 2 years ago they made the Elite 8 by scoring 1 goal in 3 games.

Florida continued their streak of not advancing when hosting the 2nd and third rounds.

Southern California and North Carolina go to College Cup. That means we are still the only SEC Team to make it there since I think 2001. Sofie Groff of South Carolina missed a pk in the second half that would have tied it.
