#CFC transfer targets: Neymar vs Falcao -
Neymar, 20, is a Brazilian wonderkid, and one of the most sought after players in the world right now due to his exciting style of play and comparisons with players like Ronaldo (the proper one, not the greasy haired, tight shirt wearing one) and Pele (half decent ex-Brazil international who scored about 100,000 goals).
Falcao, 26, is a Colombian international footballer, with an incredibly prolific record over the last few years (having signed for Atlético Madrid in 2011, he already has 32 league goals in 40 games).
Both are heavily linked to Chelsea, but who would be the better option?
Falcao and Neymar are 2 completely different players. Falcao is a pure striker, who specialises in finishing chances with both feet and his head. Neymar is far more technically gifted with the ball, and is far more versatile as he can play on the left wing, behind the striker or upfront (I would imagine he could do a job as a right winger too, though I'm not sure how much experience he has playing there).
Chelsea are trying to implement a fluid style similar to that of Barcelona, which means the front 4 in the 4-2-3-1 have to be able to rotate positions easily, which would suit Neymar much more. However, Falcao has a lot more about him physically, so from the off he's more suited to that side of the game than Neymar. Falcao also offers Chelsea an alternative option as an aerial threat if things aren't going there way and they need a Plan B.
Both would cost around £40,000,000, but with Neymar being 6 years younger than Falcao, he would be much more value for money.
One may argue that Falcao is much more likely to fit straight into Chelsea's team, whereas Neymar may take a season to settle. Though a possibility, Neymar would still be in his early 20s and still be a few years away from his peak years.
Both would be world class signings, but my personal preference would be Neymar given the choice, purely down to the fact Falcao has 6 years on him and I am a huge fan of his style of play (he scores goals like this that won him 'Goal of the Year' Watch at Youtube › ). Chelsea wouldn't exactly be making a huge mistake signing Falcao though, he did do THIS to Chelsea only 2 months ago - Watch at Youtube › ..
