JV looked very, very young but played better as the game progressed. Varsity started off well, but made some mistakes in key times that cost us goals. Some promising sparks though.

The first thing I did after watching the video on Tim's Place (http://t.co/Y0gjI9FXgf and reading a bit about it was go to Yelp and see if there were any jerks that would rate them 1 star.

The answer is no. The biggest jerk is Lori G, a heartless woman from Destin with a 2 star rating.

If the food isn't good, I still give 5 stars if the wifi is free.

Now I think I am the only one in America using YP for ratings, but I don't think I've ever given below 3 stars. Decent food and friendly staff guarantees at least a 4 from me.

I did give a 3 once for a restaurant.

Ate a late lunch, they had 1 waiter serving and he was in the weeds. Had to get my own silverware after they brought the food. Bathrooms were dirty.

4 stars for a coffee shop.

Nice coffee shop, but no WiFi.

I used to be more loyal to TripAdvisor. They are a great resource for most things. However it's a completely different demographic than Yelp users. Yelp users are more typically foodie types and are less apt to give high reviews just because the nice waitress reminded them of their granddaughter.

Because of that, I rely on Yelp a lot more nowadays in finding my meals. Yelp does have some aggravating filtering policies though.

Corkscrew will be happening on Saturday.

My house flooded today. Broken pipe in an exterior wall. Plumber couldn't come out today. Maybe tomorrow. Spending the night with friends.

But we won our scrimmage.

Corkscrew just poured a concrete slab.

Corkscrew has come a long way. Nice new slab and some actual bathrooms going in. There was no line when I walked up at noon yesterday, it was amazing.

That's pretty interesting. The airport is currently building two MASSIVE hangers at this location.

You can see the dirt work being done from Google maps. The picture is obviously dated since the hangers have already been built.

I actually paved the entrance to this facility last year(Hawthoren Dr). Do you know if this will be open to the public or just travelers or....?!?!?

It's supposed to be open to the public. I'm familiar with a few successful restaurants in small municipal airports. A common item is a "$100 hamburger," a hamburger so good it's worth the price of gassing up your jet and flying just to eat lunch.

But for Black Walnut and the specific location in Conroe, it seems like an odd choice. I had no idea so much development was going on out there. I might have to drive by and check it out. I love me some Black Walnut and that's close enough for lunch.
