We arranged a pickup in CS and seller no showed
I texted him 20"-30" after agreed upon time and he stated he was having trouble finding the gun box but would head my direction immediately. I was uncomfortable at this point for obvious reasons and bowed out as buyer.

It is a used gun from a rookie poster and selling at top dollar or so it seems to me top dollar. Is this not the same gun]

Need to clean this up can't have this turn into texas gun trader.

I'd be interested at $900 based on new gun prices. Doesn't matter if you fired 1 shot or 1000. It's like a car. You lose initial value when you take it home.

I do wish TexAgs would implement minimum requirements for listing on classifieds and ticket exchange. Even if it was as simple as you can't be a rookie and post original listings. I know they can't weed it all out, but it seems like a couple of easy steps could be taken to mitigate a lot of it. Rookie with his first post being a thousand-dollar 1911 should easily set off some alarms.

And I have wanted a gun before and paid top dollar but I was just wanting to know what i had missed on this deal

I definitely don't "need" this gun, so I'm not offering top dollar. If the OP won't sell at my offer, I'll just buy something else at either Champion or Burdett & Sons. Or just go back to Dury's in SA. I'm pretty sure I need to make a run down there to handle some probate business.

Actually, looking at the pistols out there (Kimber official site and Sportsman Outdoors) OP is offering a deal. Minimum price I can see is $1299 but most are $1500+.

OP, I would still like it at $900, but there is a little room to play here.

Not let this post exist in the first place is a good start. Still not sure an honest attempt at a transaction is being attempted here, IMO.

Too many recent documented examples of "Rookies" making their first post on Classifieds (selling firearms specifically) for it to be worth it. Ticket exchange is even more of a mess it seems like.

I'm honestly not sure why anyone is entertaining the deal with the circumstances surrounding the post, no follow up in almost two weeks, and the fact he already no showed on one potential buyer. Just me though, others obviously have more risk tolerance than I do.
