How long do you want to ignore this user?
Looking for a fun weekend car. Either of the above under 100k miles. Looking to spend around $6-7 k - that's what I've saved from my part time jobs this year. I'm not a high roller like most people on Texags - so that's what I've got to spend. Amount I have goes up as I work more. Tia.
I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.

LOL, "WRX Wagon" doesn't scream mildly cool sports car.

It screams "daily kid transporter that happens to be mildly quick". That's not what I'm going for.

you do you boo....but you said 'fun weekend car', not 'mildly cool sports car'.

225 hp awd seems more fun than 197 hp fwd and if it's anything like my 01 si that hp number is deceiving as it's all high rpm and it's a torqueless wonder.

My wife had an RSX and I always liked the looks of those.

Well, I gotta have some style too. I've owned an '08 Si. It was quick enough for me.

Yeah, I saw that one. Didn't want to deal with any transmission issues.

You should check out mazdaspeed 3 or 6. Eadily found in that price range with aftermarket parts.

When I tuned mine on ethanol I had 330whp. I miss that car

Meh, just want a traditional coupe.

Looking at an '03 G35 with 80K miles. Looks extremely clean. Taking it to my mechanic to see if he can find any issues with it. They are asking $7K. I'll probably offer $5K and go from there.

Plus, 280 HP.

Thoughts on the G35? They seem to get favorable reviews.

You're really going full circle here....bonus points if it's a 6 speed.

My wife drove an 04 for several years that her mom still has and it's been fine other than an AC compressor, radiator (that I still don't believe needed to be changed, just burped) and maybe a water pump. I'd rock that over any car mentioned here.

Another family member had a G35 sedan and it needed several very expensive repairs including coils, cats and a new ****** but he always had the dealer do the work. Would have been much cheaper at an indy shop.

Took it to the mechanic. Car is extremely clean and no issues other than tires and belts. Unfortunately, they won't come off the price. I can't do $7700 (including TT&L) for a 15 year old car.

I don't blame you.

I'd post this same topic on the auto board.
