Parents had a Vitamix when I was in high school and it would pulverize the ice to make frozen Ritas like you wouldn't believe. It was like 1 1/2 hp.

Vitamix is the best blender money can buy.

After burning out a blender per year for a while, we bought a Vitamix in 2008. It gets used almost everyday.

We are still using it.

Margaritas, smoothies, soup -- these things just flat out rock.

Some things are just worth the money.

I too bought regular blenders way too often. I saw that after time, I was paying the same for cheap blenders as a Vitamix. I realized that I'm too poor to buy cheap.
