What's the mileage per gallon on something like that? Also, what kind of maintenance budget would you need per year?

Double whatever you think it's going to be. You've got a vehicle AND a house to maintain with these things.

We have a 34' class A with the Ford v10. When I'm not pulling our jeep, I get 7-9 on flat roads. When towing, usually closer to 5.

Oh yes, and the maintenance is much more than we ever expected. Still worth it to us, because we are full-timers, but it is much more maintenance than a home or traditional car.

Thanks everyone who jumped in to make RV'ing sound like so much fun!

I will say this. The vehicle has been solid while they have been out on the road. The only issue/breakdown he ever had was blowing a tire in the middle of nowhere Missouri and having to wait for a replacement to show up at the little car shop in town. There have been a couple of items such as a stuck slide and broken vent (both since fixed) that showed up when the vehicle sat idle for a while, but that is a common problem with just about any piece of machinery.

Still available and the asking price is a starting point. Don't feel bashful about making an offer. Thanks again for looking!
