No, your class year is the same regardless of when you graduate. Unless you're a frog, and then pick whatever class you feel so inclined, because well, you're a frog.
That's not true at all. A frog can only choose the year that they are expected to graduate from A&M. For example, if you transfer in as a Junior in the fall semester then your suspected graduation year would be two years from then. They don't give you a choice at all. Also, your time before A&M doesn't count for anything. It only counts from the day you transfer in and adjusts for classification.

Said another way...

If you are looking to the Registrar's Office to tell you your class year, then it doesn't matter.

Not exactly sure what you mean here. I was originally class of 78. Attended a couple of years, took some time off, and came back and graduated in 83. I had the choice of having 78 or 83 on my ring. The school considers me class of 83.

So I'm a frog?

A frog is someone who transfers into A&M but joins the corps as a fish. So you could be a year or two into college but be considered a freshman for hazing purposes. Hence the choice to identify with your fish mates class year or your actual year.
FIFY.

A frog is someone who transfers into A&M but joins the corps as a Frog into their current class. So you could be a year or two into college but be considered a Frog for hazing purposes.

Once a corps frog always a corps frog...always viewed a frog lower than a bq.

There is an Aggie ring at a Pawn Shop on Texas.

Class of '18 I think.

No name inside. They "buff" it out the guy told me.

Just another envious CT. Everyone knows which is the bigger draw. No one watches march in. No one moves at halftime until the band finishes.

Pretty sure it is illegal for the pawn shop to purchase it an engraving has been visibly altered. Might be wrong on that.

Know this is a year old, but FYI - I was class of '92, graduated '94 and selected '94 at time to be on ring (b/c well, that's when I graduated). Would have preferred '92 now...

I did attend 2yrs, left 2, then returned to graduate...so maybe the frog (transfer) status has legs and allows flexibility (or did for a few years in '88-'92-ish).

I do recall them asking me which year I wanted on the ring and I thought for a sec...so seemed normal at time. Have been told by others as above that wanted to change and they weren't allowed...
