Looking for a .243 for my wife/kids to deer hunt with. Wife doesn't like my 30-06 so looking for something a little smaller. Similar calibers are welcomed. San Antonio, Wilson County area.

I've got a Rem 700 'youth' model in.243 with a Leupold 3-9x40 scope.

Just a little bit smaller than a normal 700...good for women and children.

I had one of those youths and shot it for years. It is the exact same gun just the stock is a couple of inches shorter. My wife liked it a lot. Fit her perfectly.

plus I believe I have some ammo for it but would not swear to it.
If I do then I'll throw it in as this is my only .243
