At the end of the day, they played in their conference champ and they trounced their op. We didn't. They earned that spot.

Sure, a joke conference and a joke opponent. It took all of the good teams leaving the Big12 before they could win that conference the first time and now they are going to the playoff.

We should only schedule FCS schools in non-conference from here on out just to better our odds and offset for the easier path of the lesser conferences.

Regardless, we are in but I hope this entire process gets blown up next year.

Also having the #24 team in the country in the playoff is an absurd affront to the game.

I'm not disagreeing that the BigXII is a joke... But I'm recent years, and yes I know the SEC and BIG teams had a lot of options outs... But the XII ended up winning those matchups. The record shows winners and losers, not what players say out.

So the chance to curb stomp and properly label the XII as trash is missed. The end result, they maintain relevance.

Edit to add... Back in the 4 team CFP years, SEC has two teams in, BIG,ACC, and PAC split the others... XII best is now having at best, the #3 SEC team in some meh bowl

I would put them at 7 where we are because they have the weakest schedule of 1 loss teams in the playoff. First round byes do not automatically go to conference champions so there is no reason to put them at 4.

They've completely skated through this entire season for some reason and have not been punished like anyone else. It's bizarre.
