Glad we went 2-0 in these games cause otherwise we'd likely be ranked in the tu/Vandy range and OUT of the playoffs at 10-2. Crazy to think that a 10-2 SEC team doesn't guarantee to get you in this year.

Yeah it sucked losing to tu but excited to be in the playoffs for a shot at the natty.

Gotta be honest while we technically do have a shot at the national championship it's clear that we have issues that South Carolina and t.u. exposed that better teams will exploit. If we don't get Moss back we are likely a one and done team unless we somehow move up a spot or so and get a more favorable matchup.

I think the Ags were or have been penalized for the South Carolina game

with the #7 seed

(instead of #5 or #6)

Moss doesn't play linebacker.

I think some issues were exposed long ago when Arkansas ran up and down the field on us.

We are a good, not great team. We overachieved because a lot of guys stepped up and we had an easier than usual schedule.

Making the playoffs is an unqualified success. Still it will suck if we end our best season in 30 years with back to back losses

You are correct. Team should be proud. A playoff win or two will put an exclamation mark on the season.

We have given up long runs all year long...can't re-find the stat, but one of the worst in the country vs. explosive runs of 15+ runs or more. It's a combo for DL/DE and LB play all year long (misfits, guessing and inability to set an edge...all are carryover problems from last year). Why 3rd and long the best stat for this team as then can't always be run on and can play attack the QB defense.

Unfortunately, since it hasn't been fixed by 12 games, it will happen again in CFP and plenty of film of our tendencies (exactly what tu did and easy to expose as their OL was in development all year and controlled LOS).

Why a ND rematch is problematic, as they won't mess up their lack of running game plan like they did in the first game. Also why Moss is important for us to help keep drives alive and ball control.

But this time with a very, very, very, very, very smart defensive-specialist head coach calling defense…

That Texas loss sure did a number on many people. Yeah we give up some big runs. You know what? Other teams in the playoffs have issues as well. Y'all just don't watch them week in and week out with the same critical eye. No team looks unbeatable this year. Conversely, most of the teams in the playoffs are capable of winning it all this year.

It was the combo of Texas loss and the first of SC game. We are entering the playoffs with not much momentum. Team gonna have to play considerably better than they have been.

And a pretty lackluster performance against Samford tbh

Wait? What? You mean Samford, the team we obliterated and then proceeded to play the entire roster from the 2nd quarter on? That "Stamford"? Or did we play another FCS school that is spelled similar to Samford that we almost lost to?

Your username does not check out.Not very credible.

Did you watch the game? We punted twice in the first quarter, threw a pick and struggled to run. Yeah of course we beat Samford by a bunch, but we didn't look sharp or polished in any way.

I guess we did punt on the 2nd possession with Reed still playing, but both the interception and the 2nd punt came with Miles in at QB.

We punted once in the first quarter and scored on 4 out of our first first 5 possessions. We averaged a touchdown every 5 minutes of game time while the starters were in the game. After the fourth touchdown early in the 2nd we pulled many of our starters and began to progressively play the entire team. We didn't really try to run the ball early on since we were torching them through the air.

The question is since you have basic facts wrong about this game: were you watching the actual game or making up things to fit a narrative?

I was literally at the game, and we weren't great on offense. You can pretend we were if you want, but it seems we peaked earlier in the season and it's been sloppy since

Funny, Georgia, Alabama and Ole Miss didn't "need the wins"

Or maybe after seeing enough tape, defensive coaches just figured out how to slow us down, or what Reed is good at and what he's not good at. Also hurt us that Craver has been dinged up and not 100%.

Hopefully Craver is back in good health and maybe Moss too for the playoffs.

The combination of a horrible first half against South Carolina and a bad second half against Texas has sapped our momentum from the dominating road wins over LSU and Missouri by a combined score of 87-42. We will have to play much better from start to finish to win our first playoff game.
