Was not good to see. But with Miss St not threatening much offensively, I can retroactively say I like that telegraphed we were going to run and asked the guys to go make it happen. Now have direct film that we can teach off of.

Also, on either 3rd or 4th down, Marcel could have easily pulled it. Everyone was diving the middle. I like that he didn't. Make defenses think that we're reluctant to run him in that situation, only to pull it out when least expected after faking choreographed run out of the same formation in a bigger game.

This "ranking" can't include penalties on the OL, can it?

They look good, especially after the couple head scratchers. Now, clean up the penalties and this team will be something special.

Interesting to see Arkansas with the 4th highest grade. I'm more concerned about Florida at home than I am playing Arkansas on the road.

Also happy Missouri has to go through Alabama, Auburn, and Vanderbilt before they play the Ags. It's hard to evealuate them since they have yet to play a team with a pulse.

Arky offense is good. Their defense is pretty awful.

Long way to go but if we did face Oh St what makes you so sure we'd lose? Where do they create a mismatch for us? Also how can you project a meeting in the final without knowing the seedings? Don't mean that as a snarky question. If you were assuming both were unbeaten then that does imply a 1 & 2 seeding and so a finals matchup does make sense.

Did you see what Notre Dame did to their defense. It was basically going against air.

to me what is really encouraging is that we are developing depth and their hasn't been a huge drop off. i have seen bourbon and rodgers our hopeful future tackles play some this year in big moments as well as a few other guys in mop up duty. i really like what cushing is doing. he is a keeper

Florida's defense has performed similarly to Auburn's so far. Let's see how we do against Florida, and what our OL rank is afterwards. Also, would Florida have a slight athleticism edge over Auburn on defense?

Side note: Missouri, LSU, and Texas' defenses have done better than both Auburn and Florida so far, so there is that.

The highest rated O-Line is one heck of an asset. I had no idea there was even a quantitative rating.
Don't have the time but running a multivariate statistical analysis to predict say AP ranking using say 6-10 independent variables would be cool.

Ahhhh, my two alma mater's. I would lose my mind if these two compete in the Championship game.

Not sure how this high of a grade could be possible when so many miserable downers pointed out how the offensive line didn't get any push the first two games and anyone who knows ball would know that is a certain indication of a long an awful season.

This particular piece of the puzzle seems correctable( holding calls especially )but it's very subjective. I have seen calls on us that were marginal at best and have seen clear holds by opponents that were not called . I do not subscribe to the theory that there is a conspiracy against us and consequently I think this evens out over the season.

Every team lives and dies by the o line play. That's the main reason Texas sucks this year. Their o line cant pass or run block well enough to execute sarks system, unlike last year.

55 is the most undisciplined player on the team and it's not close imo. The fact that he is a captain is concerning. It seems we run a very finesse/zone type blocking scheme where it's more about shielding defensive players instead of actually moving them. I hope that doesn't end up haunting us when we need a pivotal 4 and 1 in an extremely important game.

His OL play was horrible the last few years though, but yeah it looks much improved so far this season

How is this possible with all the penalties that the offense has to then overcome??
