He's better than the overrated Vince Young in every category besides championship defenses yet you won't find him above him on any lists

He's the best college QB I've ever seen. Ever. Better than Tebow, Burrow, Young, Newton.
He lead the SEC in rushing in 2012, as a QB, in a spread offense, in a run first conference. With a team that was mediocre at best all things considered. He also broke the sec record for combined rushing and passing yards. If you put him on a stronger team they win the national championship. We almost did with him.

Sip here. Yes, Manziel is the best college QB I've ever seen. He had phenomenal pocket presence and was more elusive than Fran Tarkenton, and with 4.5 speed could ridiculously exploit even very good defenses. He racked up video game stats while playing in the toughest division of the toughest conference. It's not his fault Aggie defenses were terrible.
If I were creating an all-time best college football team, Manziel would be my starting qb....if it could be guaranteed that he would stay sober at least 4 days a week.

Roger Staubach.
He was Johnny before Johnny.
Would've won 2 Heismans had he not been injured his senior year.
But I'd say it's those 2
Side note: Staubach also lettered in all 3 major men's sports during his 4 years at Navy. Scouts said he was good enough to go pro in all 3.
After Bo Jackson, Roger may have been the best college athlete ever

It's weird to say this and it may not make sense: he was the greatest college football player of all time. But, I don't think he was the greatest QB of all time. His skills as a true qb were nothing crazy special, but he had field speed and vision like no one I've ever seen.

Now do Johnny without Evans. Still think he's the best?
Both white shifty QBs. That's about where the comparison ends. Johnny's tape blows Flutie's out of the water. Very different QBs. Honestly not really any great comparisons to JFF. Dude had a style that we've never seen before or since.knoxtom said:
I don't think he is top 20.
What did he do that Doug Flutie didnt do 30 years earlier. They had the EXACT same career except JFF was on a team loaded with future NFL guys and flutie was alone.
How about you do the same for everybody you'd put in front of him. No one worth mentioning has ever done it alone.SteveA said:
