Seriously which games do we lose this year with Mond? I'll say 1 only because I assume we'd trip up somewhere, but every game would be very winnable.

Do you mean the cumulative stats taken over a 5 year period of play where most capable QB projects jet for the NFL beforehand rather than languishing in a stagnant Jimbo offensive scheme including a freshman year under a lame duck Sumlin tenure simply to break a meaningless school production record?!?!

Wooooooo this is my favorite moral victory of the night.

Kellen Mond was a baller who would put this team on his back and he was a leader that we've been missing since he graduated!!! We're 12-0 easily if this was Mond's senior year. His senior year in 10 games competed 63% of his passes for 19 TD's and only 3 picks and 2,282 passing yards, along with nearly 300 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns. He did all that in Jimbo's complex offense and without any receiver who could make an NFL roster

In fact only 3 other guys on Mond's offense in 2020 are playing on Sundays

Reed is a terrible quarterback. He can't find receivers then tries to run the ball and runs straight into defenders. A&M needs to start studying the portal or recruiting one, NOW!!!!

I'll take Mond's Citrus Bowl year against uninspired competition in a Covid year, but he was dog **** in his first significant playing time at UCLA unlike Reed's at Florida; Mond also crapped the bed against Auburn BEFORE Covid, whereas Reed did great except for the coaching & defensive struggles this year.

Painting Mond in a favorable light, absent the Covid year, is pure nostalgic BS; Reed has far more upside at this point but whether that is coached up or allowed to languish remains to be seen. And FWIW, I'm merely comparing the two's upsides; my dig towards Mond's divisive rhetoric is just my personal bias showing but isn't meant to detract from his overall sub par performances, which frankly looked quite familiar to Reed's struggles tonight. Do y'all not remember Mond's deer in headlights expression in damn near every game where we crapped the bed?!?! And when Mond was QB, our defense wasn't bad unlike it was the entire month of November this year while Reed played!!!

Even playing through a Senior season abbreviated by Covid, Mond still holds the record for career passing yards and career passing touchdowns at A&M.

I have no problem with people not liking him based on his comments. If that's the case, fine.

But to suggest that he's one of A&M's worst ever, and deny that he was productive defies logic and facts. The facts reflect entirely the opposite.

Career record holder vs guy who didn't lead the offense to a single TD tonight….. tough choice.

You and every other Mond defender are comparing Mond's SENIOR campaign to Reed's (redshirt) FRESHMAN campaign; and if Mond is indeed the greatest in recent memory, what does that mean for Reed's potential since Reed has shown more upside (tonight notwithstanding) in his first year to be far better than Mond's first year. I for one distinctly remember Mond's first season of significant playing time; Mond's fumbles, interceptions, and confusion were disastrous in year one. And despite Mond's cumulative success, Reed has done more THUS FAR with significantly less (no Reynolds, Spiller, or an abysmal O'line and brain dead OC), so only time will tell if that potential is harnessed or made to languish.

Well Mond played more games than Reed's one season dumbass; also, reread my original post where I said Reed's performance in year one is cause for MINIMAL OPTIMISM!! I didn't say Reed was the new savior; merely, one potential bright spot given how much y'all gratify yourselves to Mond is that Reed has shown more promise this year than Mond's first year.

Further, Reed stepped up to lead a team than Connor quit on, so don't question his commitment or leadership qualities at this point in his early career; YES, he played like crap tonight, but he simply failed to execute an utterly craptastic game plan orchestrated by Klein. Again, don't compare ONE performance to Mond's SEASONS (all the while ignoring Mond's ****ty first year)!!

Lastly, Mond & Reed are both black; don't try to insinuate my disdain for Mond's racist rhetoric as something other than my personal bias towards him for such given that Reed conducts himself in a completely opposite & more dignified manner.
