Texas gets left out.
We lose against Bama.
Recency bias puts Texas in over us even though we beat them because they have a better record.

And before you say no way that happens. You might wanna look at the history of love for Texas.

If we beat tu, there is no way they won't be in the playoff.

The committee will pick tu over Tennessee or Ole Miss any day.

Only way they drop out of top 12 is if they lose to us AND Kentucky

Very possible and it sets a bad president that somehow the SEC runner up can be left out of the playoff. And completely devalues SOS (one of the losses will be to top 10 ND), thus furthering the notion that SOS doesn't matter to the committee and there is no incentive to schedule hard OOC games.
If 10-3 A&M is left out, things will not be pretty.

i mean i guess we will just have to win the sec championship then. i think if it's possible for us to get screwed we probably will so we need to beat auburn at jordan hare, texas at home, and either bama or georgia on a neutral field. tall order but not impossible. there is not a team in the sec that we couldn't beat if we played great.

Currently I cant see us not fumbling against auburn to set up insane match up at Kyle I would sign up for this outcome.

I'd say unless Texas somehow loses to Kentucky, they are a lock for the playoffs no matter what, whether we beat them or not.

Probably only likely if we look like crap in the trophy game. Otherwise, would be tough to say the Sips are better than us.

My thoughts are that we lost the South Carolina game because we were looking ahead to the Texas game. In 2025. That explains why we looked so bad on defense and couldn't tackle a cheerleader, all because we kept looking for players wearing baby **** orange on the field.

Making it easy for the committee, might be losing by 20 points in the conference championship game. Just beat Texas and play a close SEC title game.

If 10-3 A&M gets left out of the playoff get ready for "know your place" from ESPN and others. They all talk this and talk that about teams now but once the field is set they will get in line and support whatever it is.

Not that I'd want OP's scenario to happen, but I just want to beat the sips and shut their mouths. If OP's scenario happened, the sips would be a national joke and the committee fully exposed for their bias.
