Yup, thats it. All those NCs we brought home from 1940-1997 just up and vanished under the rubble.
I miss Deware and those slow moving wall fans and all the rust.
I miss playing racketball in a room with rafters running through it.
I miss that moldy, dingy old dungeon of a weight room and the 22# & 33# plates.
I never saw the inside of it. I am a little nostalgic for the outline of that building in the North Endzone.

I miss a lot of things at A&M, Deware is not one of them.
Saw Joe King Carrasco play there. It was the perfect spot.

I wasn't there, but my brother tells the story of taking our nephew to game when he was like 12 or 13. There was a huge electrical storm and rain delay, and they opened up Reed to get out of the rain.
They're in a gym with gymnastic equipment and my nephew gets on an apparatus and starts doing a routine. Like several hundred people stopped and watched him do it and then gave him a round of applause.

We made the intramural basketball semifinals one year at Reed and got destroyed by a Christian fraternity that had 17 guys on their squad. We had 6. I think they beat us by 35 points.
Earlier in the playoffs we beat a team of Corps guys despite only having 4 players for the entire first half.

Damned!!!! Doesn't anyone remember Summer Registrations in DeWare? We pulled card packets containing punch cards. It took two days to register when every other school took one. We stood in line that went all the way past cain pool. It rained ever first day of registration soakng everyone in line/
We registered in the pavilion. But I still remember going into Deware with a white shirt and leaving with a orange shirt. Amazing that a university like ours didn't have a better gym.
