We are fine at safety. Also Preston and Wright could be back.

Also I am.pretty sure Harmon is a CB

Woah, woah, woah. Wait a dang minute! I was told that everyone was transferring via the Portal. That "roster" can't be right.
People think I'm an idiot or something, because all I do is cut lawns for a living.

I would love to see us bring in 13 from the portal. I just don't see that happening though.

Are we going to reach the 85 scholarship limit or just take another large class next year. Or are we not done yet?

We will get as close as possible to the 85 with 85 being the goal. Most likely you'll see a couple more HS recruits added and several portal guys.

Need another portal corner in addition to Grimes. Need 2 portal LB's. Remember Hicks and Samu still to sign.

Jimbo not done yet. Big surprise coming.
Let's go, Brandon!

I'm wondering if a couple of more of our guys that hit the portal will decide to come back? Some of them may find it hard to find a landing spot.

I believe it was said that 60% of players in the portal won't be selected by another school

As long as we land Grimes we will only have 1 more position in question. That would be NB, which will dictate how we attack the portal.

If Smith does in fact go pro we have to grab a starting WR from the portal, if not we need depth.

Sure we can upgrade LB and OT but we have experience and depth there.

That's a crazy percentage of players that just lost a scholarship and a chance of a diploma if they don't find a new school. I bet in the future that more players will second guess themselves before entering the portal. IMO

Am I the only one who sees Tease's name and automatically says it in the Olsen field voice? You know when a manager doesn't good game his pitcher…

One trend I'm liking with the last few signees is they seem to be high character guys. York obviously, but Platt and Owens as well. I haven't seen interviews with a lot of the guys but those three all seem to be great guys. I think we had a lot of high ego personalities with the last class that poisoned the locker room. Based on what I've seen with TU's class, it seems like they are leaning that way too. Except Hill, really wanted Hill.

CORRECTION: NCAA: 40 percent of scholarship FBS players do not find scholarships on the other side of the transfer portal
only 59 percent of scholarship transfers found scholarships at FBS school. Eight percent left their scholarships to become walk-ons elsewhere, while a full third remain stuck in limbo. Incredibly, 18 percent of walk-ons that Portaled managed to find a scholarship at their new school.

You're correct they're not rocket scientists, but when their parents see they are giving up their scholarships they may make them think twice about it.

My guess... we'll add 3 +/- to the signing class.

I think we'll keep 4-5 that are currently in Portal.

We'll pull in 2-3 impact guys from the Portal, but mostly depth.

I think we will sign more than 5 from the portal but of course that all depends on if any of our portal guys are allowed back and want back.

Any word on Foster? Sounded like some rumblings he may be considering sticking with only the shotput? Have to assume this is only a rumor with zero validity to it, because in my opinion he would be key to an improved line this year.

Ogunbiyi, Moko, Foster, Nabou, Crownover
Erb, Bankhead, Strickland, BISONTIS, SHANAHAN

THOMASSON, BETRAND

...

Thin areas appear to be corner, safety, linebacker and wide receiver
I thought Ogunbiyi and Moko should be flipped. Moko was LT and Ogunbiyi was LG. I would also be surprised if 1s and 2s will be decided until summer. We're returning 5 starters from 2022 and 3 guys that were projected starters at the beginning of the season. Great place to be.

I believe our projected line for 2022 was:

Moko, Ogunbiyi, Foster, Robinson, Fatheree

We saw mostly this:
Zuhn, Dewberry, Wykoff, Robinson, Fatheree
Crownover, Nabou, Strickland, Bankhead, Erb <- Line listed 2nd in depth

I think both BISONTIS (6'5"/290), SHANAHAN (6'4"/310) project as Guards.

The two Ts we got:
Thomasson (6'8"/325)
Betrand (6'7"/310)

Look to be beasts.

My co-worker from Philly sent me a text once Betrand signed. He gave me some info on Enai White. I'm pretty excited about both those kids.

Also, I'm predicting Enai White to be a Von Miller-type LB. We saw him drop back in coverage and blitz off the corner. I think his speed and athleticism will get plenty of attention.

CB is the most glaring position of need. Hope we get a good one out of the portal.

think what we don't know is how many going into the portal are suggested/told by the school they need to go.

Jimmy Johnson used to tell them they are four one year scholarships
