"Our contract has expired with The Walt Disney Company. Our goal and priority is to reach a fair agreement to bring their channels back as quickly as possible. Visit dishpromise.com for more information and to make your voice heard, call Disney at 818-560-1000."

Sling makes nearly an identical statement. Anyone have alternative recommendations?

Youtubetv. Or Hulu live.

Cable/satellite companies have blackmailed their customers to use the power of the mob to negotiate with their suppliers for too long. F 'em

'Cause Sling is owned by Dish and the contract negotiations are tied together.

I just begrudingly signed up for espn+ so I can watch the Ags and other football until this is resolved - which is exactly what Disney wanted me to do. I'm no huge fan of Dish, either. This type of thing seems to happen more and more frequently with them. At some point soon I'll cut the cable, but in reality the live tv streaming services like youtubetv, etc. are subject to the same disputes. Sucks.

This 100%. The quality is better and the flexibility to take your TV subscription with you everywhere can't be matched by cable/dish. For example, I'll be at my office most of the day today, but I'll still be watching the game!

I prefer YouTube TV over Hulu.

Watch games at a bar or YouTube TV. Dish and cable aren't worth it.

Disney owns 2/3 of Hulu, so you would be least likely to see a dispute like this with espn.

Or out at tailgate for our rigs. Glad this isn't a home game for us.

But they pay us lots of money every year to show our games on tv, so they can't be that bad.

So I'm not going to be able to watch the game today?

I have Dish. If I want to stream through the ESPN app, I always have to provide my Dish login credentials.

You could get way better service too. Cable companies are a step above debt collectors.

I assume DISH is going to reduce everyone's bill since they aren't providing ESPN, right?

I've had Hulu Live for years and have no complaints other than not getting Bally Sports, but I don't think anyone gets Bally Sports these days

Quick question for those who know: Hulu is a Disney company as far as I know. If I go with them today, am I going to get ESPN?

For those with dish, download a streaming service and take advantage of the free trial and then cancel. At least buys you time today to watch the game

My Sling bill is going down to $0.00, effective next billing cycle.

Edit, to add their generous offer (I still cancelled):

Well a $1billion rate increase DOES seem a bit much.

I just wish there was a realistic ESPN subscription service where I could pick up the college football season and drop it every year. ESPN+ is not that.

You should. Since Hulu and ESPN are both Disney products, don't know why they would remove it.
