Don't know how - don't know why but they will play up to competition as season goes on. Always happens. Avoid the collapse that also always happens in the final weeks and they'll be ok.

While King had moments in the second half that he looked better than the first, there's just something unsettling about his play. I was actually happy to see Max go in the game and play the way he did. I feel like every throw King makes is a potential INT and I don't get that from Max. We will see how this plays out.

Glad we got the win, happier that we got the shutout. We played sloppy and we still shut them down.

Our offense was off to a slow start but finished with 31 points. Our defense pitched a shutout. I just hope our offensive line step up, especially in SEC games.

I agree and I think they will get better with each game. The DL for Sam wasn't horrible. Is it what we will face in the SEC no, but they weren't bad. I agree we need Foster and I think that improves our situation.

Sam Houston's defensive strategy looks to have been a good one, and an excellent way to dust off a young QB as well (stop the run to the detriment of the secondary - where they'd lose a few explosive plays but may also get a few picks out of a young QB).

GHT, Rodney Thomas, and Leland McElroy as a fish. Those were the days.

Speaking of, one of the Pac12 channels reran the 1995 CU game. I guess I had blocked out of my mind how bad TV was before HD, but it really wasn't that long ago (in my head). I felt like I was watching the moon landing.
