Instead of the elite programs west of us leaving the B12 and PAC thus leaving the west with no real conference, I wish they would realign amongst themselves and form a great conference:

1. Texas
2. Oklahoma
3. USC
4. UCLA
5. Arizona
6. Washington
7. Colorado
8. Utah
9. Oregon
10. Kansas
11. Stanford

Other Possibilities
California
BYU
Texas Tech
Oklahoma St
Iowa State
Nevada / UNLV
Boise St
Baylor
TCU
Fresno St
San Diego St
New Mexico
Houston

Iowa St, Boise St, New Mexico, and Nevada/UNLV do not have good programs, but if included would bring another 10 million in population from their states. Its that or bring in better programs to improve reputation at the tradeoff of not having more subscribers.

Makes too much sense and nothing else in the NCAA makes sense.

Kind of looks like the original proposal to form the PAC 16

4, 16 team conferences would have been perfect. 3 20s (ish) would have been pretty good too. Problem is the B1G sees a chance to get ahead of the SEC in a major way and that requires the dissolution of the PAC. No way Oregon and Washington don't hitch their wagon to USC and UCLA. The west is done for, regionally.

The PAC probably regrets not snagging up the top remaining B12 programs after OU and tu announced their departure.

Big XII needs to act, right now, to invite the Arizona schools, Colorado, and Utah.

I don't think that would have kept usc and ycla from bolting to the big 10

Just too much money there, and the pac12 has horribly mismanaged itself the last decade it so leading to what has just transpired

It wasn't about keeping USC and UCLA, but raiding the B12 at that moment would have allowed them to pick from the Big 12 leftovers--at time when there possibly would have been no exit fee--instead of having to pick from the Mountain West teams---Boise St, Air Force, New Mexico, Colo State, Fresno State, UNLV.

They could have done an 8 team "West division" of all remaining Pac schools minus Colorado and Utah, who would play with 6 selected Big 12 school (sorry TCU, WVa, Kansas or Baylor, I don't know)
