The lyrics are "Saw Varsity's horns off," not "Turn Varsity's horns down."

I need my biology/anatomy/kinesiology folks to answer this question:
Which action involves the fewest muscles and/or effort:
1) Making the horns gesture and flexing the wrist to point the horns downward; or
2) Making the horns gesture but with index and pinky fingers curled, aka "sawed off short?"

Irrelevant. The complaints are not the accuracy of horns down compared to our tradition. It's the appearance on tv.
