Something like that happened in San Antonio a few years ago. I think it involved Moses Reynolds' team. IIRC, the kid who attacked the ref claimed the ref calling him a racial slur.

Without question he should be arrested ... that's aggravated assault


And I'll tell you what the problem is... look at his " coaches" .
Wanting to comfort him... too many these " coaches" want to be kids friends and wrap their arms around them

I grew up a soccer player, I once saw a disgruntled goalie who did not like the call run to midfield and knock the center ref out...our game was pretty much cxld after that...luckily we were crushing them

That player was the State Champion in Wrestling, 220 lb class.

The laws were changed a couple of years ago. Referee Assault is a state jail felony.

In that incident the two players that hit the ref, one was a sophomore and one a senior. They both were kicked off the team rest that year. The sophomore was not able to ply his junior year but the UIL reinstated him his senior year.

The assistant coach was fired and his teaching certificate was Permanently revoked... As it should be

The referee who the players and coach claimed used a racial slur, was cleared and deemed he did not use a radio slur... funny how everytime someone plays the " racial slur " card it always comes back they were lying

Pretty sure it was 2 years .. incident occurred his sophomore year and he was able to play his senior year.

Nonetheless he should not of been able to play

No, when a dude is trying to fight, you restrain them and hold them back. Remember when Rougned Odor gave Joey Bautista the business? You'll notice Beltre rap Bautista up in a bear hug from behind. He's not comforting him. He's got a hold on him so that if he can't go back out and fight. Admittedly, with Bautista, I think Beltre was also holding him up since he got rocked, but this is just wheat you see in fights: guys wrap their friends up so they don't do anything else stupid.
