So how many games are they going to play? That's only 8 weeks of play and that is counting championship week and with no weeks off. No way should the Big 10 have an equal shot at the National Championship as the other conferences who will play 10 games plus a conference championship. They made their (bad) decision and now should have to live with it.

The mini end of year playoff idea sounds like a great idea honestly. Say what you will about this year but if forced to do so they actually improved on the regular season in some ways. This and conference only season are a vast improvement over status quo.

Nebraska may have lead it off, but Ohio State moved the needle.

And I dont have a problem. IF Ohio State makes a stronger case in 8 games than others make in 10, fine.

Wife is a Gopher. Would be sweet irony if the Gophers some how got past tOSU and Fleck'd their way into the playoffs.

The way their schedule was set up before the season was cancelled made that at least feasible. Of course, they still have to beat Wisco first.

This wasn't Trump. This was several B1G athletic departments that would have been furloughing their entire athletic department staff If they didn't get football revenue. It's real simple. Play ball and get paid or shutter the department. Nebraska and Iowa were more vocal and open about their finances. It's true everywhere including here. No football means no income to pay the bills.

The hell? This isn't politics. It's finance 101. Football pays the bills and if schools don't play they aren't getting paid. Nebraska has all but said they can't afford that hit. Same for Iowa. Utah not only said it they did it and furloughed everyone. AD, coaches, secretaries. Everyone. If you think that wouldn't happen here if we didn't have games you are blind.

The beauty of this is it looked like they caved to Trump. When in reality, the SEC, Big XII, and ACC told B1G to pound sand, they're playing football. Now the B1G knows they have to because they can't let those 3 conferences make millions and themselves go in the hole.
