Will barely be a fringe NFL player. Is hurting his NFL chances by opting out IMHO. Could have raised his chances by being the feature receiver this year. Bad business decision IMHO.

Ausbon was a career chain mover / safety valve for Mond. We'll miss the veteran leadership, but not much else.

What a knucklehead. He probably won't even be drafted. but I'm really glad he's gone. Jimbo shows way, WAY too much loyalty to upper classmen. The tired rotation of Ausbon, Rodgers, Davis, and Buckley last year was infuriating when we all knew there were players with far more talent than any of them sitting on the bench. Dylan Wright, Kam Brown, Jalen Preston, Chase Lane, Ainias Smith, and Caleb Chapman all should have seen a ton more snaps. Now that Ausbon, Rodgers, Davis, and Buckley are out, lo and behold, all of the aforementioned guys are stepping up. Not to mention Demas is going to be a superstar in very short order.
Getting the less athletic Sumlin recruits filtered out of the program is a necessity for us to take the next step. Hopefully we'll see marked improvement in the athleticism of our receivers this year.

I remember flipping him from LSU and being really excited. He was an incredibly touted prospect at the time. He played hard and was really productive. Best of luck to the young man.
Not true and you do realize had any of those guys returned they will still be starting...Will definitely miss Experience against likes of Bama and Florida

It's absolutely true, and yes I know they would all be starting if they were still here, which is why I'm glad they're gone. They don't have the kind of speed or athleticism we need at the position. Time for Jimbo's recruits to fill the void and up our talent profile. I'm sure they will.
Odd move. Jimbo is probably pissed he soaked up reps from the guys that will replace him.
