SM is so underrated. Most of the other names mentioned had big character issues. SM lit the sips up in '07 b/c Fran was checked out and allowed the OC call the game unmeddled.

Reggie is close, but Reggie would not watch film nor endure an NFL level pain like SM and others.

Some of you might remember an interview Gabe Bock did with Bryant's team manager, Gary Rollins. He basically said that as good as Hall was on offense, he was a liability on defense. He would be targeted on defense and consistently give up a big play. It wasn't so much that he was wasted as it was he was a victim of the single platoon rule in place at the time.

I can't stand Fran but this is misleading. t.u came out for the game completely unprepared because they were expecting a Coach Fran type of game. They had no clue that Fran was merely a puppet on the sideline. The offense for that game was equivalent to a completely different team

I really like SM too

Reggie McNeal and I don't think it's close... we made him run the option to the SHORT SIDE over and over again in his last two years... he went from "let Reggie play" and upsetting #1 with his feet and his arm to being drafted as an Athlete- all thanks to Fran.

How's that? Cause he got caught smoking?. He had all the tools to be a pro style qb that was also lightning quick and fast- and Fran made him run the option. Man I'd give anything to see him with Jimbo

We are all culpable for our actions but Fran took a true dual threat qb and ruined him. Pure talent he was a bigger kyler Murray. He ran something like a 4-29 forty and could throw the ball70- 80 yards but Fran ran the option to the near side and he took a beating. He should have worked harder but he literally digressed over his 4 years that's hard to do without some help.
