Why is this semi final game so close to one teams home? Seems a bit unfair

From what I heard a few years back each team picks a location and if they don't agree then they flip for it. Don't know if that has changed.

They could play at LT's home stadium and it wouldn't matter.

Lake Travis would be the 5th best team in Region 3. This game won't be close.

Still works this way.
If both school cannot agree on a location each school picks their designated location and they flip on it.

In the 6A DII game Denton Ryan is traveling to Houston to play Spring Westfiekd. That's quite a haul for folks in Denton

Why is North Shore so good? Where do they recruit from? Same question for Katy? I'd love to see Atascocita get to that level, but they're not quite there yet.

It's been a long time since I've paid attention to this stuff, but it's just strange that, for example, Katy is the only decent school year after year. There are 9 rich white kid schools out there. Shouldn't they take turns? When my son played at Porter, the HC told me that even when we moved away, he could keep playing for them because the New Caney district has "open enrollment." I guess some districts can actually function like the old Taiwanese little league system when they were drawing the team from the whole country and just saying they were from the same place.

I went to the second Katy-North Shore game. Great game. North Shore was QUICK. Their QB could run like crazy and then threw beautiful spirals 60+ yards. North Shore is essentially the only football school in the ISD. 95% minority enrollment. Great coaching. Their stud WR is coming to A&M.

Katy Taylor is still in the playoffs. Katy is a machine. It's the process (beginning in pee wee football ... no kidding). Their coach is an institution.

Their jr Quarterback has been the real star in the playoffs. Great passer and ran for 234 against Katy.
