Kiper has him in top 4 or 5 at DT. I don't think anybody had Dodson that high.

I feel like he should have stayed another year, balled out, and trended his draft stock up to go in a higher round of the draft. But what do I know

If he's rated a top 5-7 DT then he wasn't going to get much higher. If he graded out 8-15 or so, he cost himself some money maybe, but with a dream job and big money at stake and an always uncertain future, he did what he felt was right. His talent will be missed.

If it had been me, I would have stayed another year and won the Heisman and the Ray Guy award, along with numerous other achievements. How high do you think a DT would go in the draft if he won the Heisman? See what I mean? But hey, I am an overachiever.

still not gonna throw any shade Madubuike's way though. He's doing what he feels is best and I'm being selfish as an Aggie if I ask him not to. I wish him luck at the next level and thank him for 3 damn good years at A&M
Costing himself a guest round pick and millions of dollars.
Justin always seemed like a classy guy. Never seemed to get in trouble. Enjoyed him while he was in Aggieland.

I think dominating a Big12 oline would help his status potentially, it's not just meaningless. Also Myles playing in the bowl game may have demonstrated character that helped seal the decision for the first pick.
I was more stating that staying another year for Dodson probably would have helped his draft stock in the same way that staying could have helped Madibuke
