I am preparing to pack my suitcase for Clemson. Aside from dreams of victory, I want to know if I should purchase the hat shown in the link below. Is it a true throwback? Please reply. I know it's only $20. But, 20 bucks is 20 bucks.

To me it's somewhat puzzling to consider an abstract concept of an item being a "throwback" when deciding to make a purchase or not so I can't help you in that regard, but I say if you like the hat then just get it.

go for one of the Block T caps or one with an AMC logo if you're looking for throwback

That is terrible. Go to maroon u they have a 47 brand nice maroon hat with block A&M also in maroon. Picked up one last week.

In my mind, an Old Army had is maroon with a white T. That is what the coaches and baseball team wore when i was there. However, yes, this looks pretty good.

It's not a true throwback.
I think '47 (I know '47 has access to use certain logos that others don't) and adidas are the only ones that use any "vaulted" A&M logos. Anything else is going to be a traditional A&M logo or something reimagined.

From my days at the CCA, I remember them having an spider AMC logo hat, but I don't know if they still do. I know adidas had one that I saw at baseball games.

Most of this info is from my time in the industry a little over a year ago and some of the rules may have changed a little, but I don't think they have.

I think it's a cool hat. Any hat that isn't flat brimmed with crap all over it looks Ol Army in my opinion
