Aggies land commitment from 2020 St. Augustine Prep (NJ) DL Isaiah Raikes
The Texas A&M coaching staff added to their defensive line haul on Father’s Day as Isaiah Raikes, a 6-2, 305 pounder out of St. Augustine Prep in Richland, New Jersey, has committed to the Aggies.
Raikes came on a weekend visit to College Station in April with long time friend and fellow defensive line prospect Fadil Diggs, who committed to Texas A&M in May. The A&M staff extended an offer to Raikes while on the visit, and the Aggies rapidly moved up his list.
Raikes chose Texas A&M out of a final six which also included Penn State, Oregon, Northwestern, Duke and Temple, and he also held offers from the likes of Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Louisville, Minnesota and Baylor, Raikes impressed the A&M coaches with his wingspan, reach, and power. Raikes becomes A&M’s eleventh overall commitment and the third defensive pledge in the 2020 class.
