How do you guys know that Sharp will run it by Jimbo? Egomaniacs don't like to share the spotlight. I'd say 50/50 chance Sharp is bright enough to hire whoever Jimbo wants. Sharp is so full of himself that this could go very bad, or not. Just wish we had a steady hand at the wheel. Which we do not, even if he does the right thing one time.

I think having a professional AD with multi-conference experience that is separate from the primary sport HC is almost a given. Keeping deals at arms length when negotiating is also a requirement.

Woodward did his job by keeping athletics from inflicting the office of the President thereby protecting Young. I think Young now has a better appreciation for the value of a guy he can trust to execute that key responsibility.
